A very well written summary of a v enjoyable evening. Thank you. I was there too.
I first ran into Martin at an Aukml conference and remember him a bit at the BBC He appears to continue to tap into
the future challenges of digital journalism. Importantly- he gets close to editorial so that he is able to play a classic intermediary role. - Not everyone is able to do that from an IT perspective. It is an info pros USP. Get it right and library schools could be turning out people who have prospects i'n potential usability roles.

"a good one should fulfill two conditions – it should fit on your business card, and it should explain to your mum what you do at work. " LOL, that is hilarious but very true. When we break it down, most of our sophisticated job titles can be explained or replaced by a much simpler title. For some reason everyone wants a longer, more abstract job title these days...
