I was extremely excited about attending the SLA Europe Breakfast (#slae / #slaeurope) event held on the 10th of December 2012. For me this was my second event while working for Sue Hill Recruitment and I can genuinely say I thoroughly enjoyed my morning. The guest speakers were Robin Bew (@RobinBew), Ferdinando Giugliano (@FerdiGiugliano) and Iain Simpson ( @irsdigital) who were all very interesting and insightful. They provided great accounts on issues surrounding economies around the world along with their forecasts.
I particularly enjoyed Robin Bew’s (Chief Economist at EIU) insights into the global economic prospects for 2013. I found his expert knowledge and forecasts fascinating, reassuring my concerns over the EU and the UK. Ferdinando Giugliano, leader writer for the FT, gave his perspective on the European and UK economic outlook. Iain Simpson’s speech was also very interesting . He was discussing behaviours of Human Beings in the workforce and how adapting to cultural and technological changes is crucial for firms to stay competitive.
The event was hosted by the Financial Times and a breakfast buffet was provided which was fantastic. A video of the event will be posted on the SLA Europe website, http://www.sla-europe.org/, so please take a visit, you will be amazed.
